Cooper Square Committee’s Neighborhood Naturally Occurring Retirement Community (N-NORC) is our flagship program for seniors. Our N-NORC promotes healthy aging — seniors helping seniors to remain active and connected to support networks. 

Our N-NORC services include:

  • Tenant counseling and eviction prevention
  • Assistance with 
    • subsidized and low-income housing applications
    • income support and public benefits applications
    • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) applications
    • Senior Citizen Rent Income Exemption (SCRIE)
    • Medicaid applications
    • Section 8 recertification
  • Referrals to social service providers (Meals on Wheels, Home Health Aide, etc.)
  • Case management & benefits planning
  • Educational workshops 
    • Health and wellness
    • Disaster preparedness and recovery
    • Legal issues
    • Financial planning
  • Recreational and social activities
