The Cooper Square Committee is launching a Construction Monitoring Project. Do you know of stalled construction sites in the East Village/Lower East Side? This includes sites with a Stop Work Order, sites that have expired permits, or where no construction activity has been happening for a while? If so, let us know.
The following is a list compiled by the NYC Dept. of Builidngs of stalled construction sites in Community Board 3 of Manhattan (East Village/Lower East Side/Chinatown) as of Feb. 27, 2010. We will be adding more information about each site in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, let us know about other sites in CB3, and we will look into them and post information about the status of the sites. If there are unsafe conditions, call 311 to report them. Also, please contact us at 212-228-8210 to let us know, and we will follow up with the Dept. of Buildings and Community Board 3.
